Staffed chiefly by volunteers, The Fauquier County Disability Services Board (FCDSB) was created by Resolution of the Board of Supervisors in response to the enactment of the 1992 Americans with Disabilities Act. The FCDSB provides input to Fauquier County government and other local governments therein on service needs and priorities of persons with physical and sensory disabilities, and provides information and resource referral to local governments regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act.The FCDSB also provides such other assistance and advice to local governments as may be requested. The FCDSB is responsible to the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors, and has no less than thirty percent representation by individuals or family members of individuals with physical, visual, or hearing disabilities.
Meetings are open to the public and held every 2nd Wednesday at 10AM (except the month of August) at the Warren Green Bldg., 2nd Floor Conference Room, 10 Hotel Street, Warrenton VA.
