Marshall Evening Book Club

The John Marshall Library's Evening Book Club meets at 7 p.m. on the last Monday of the month at the Marshall Library. New members are always welcome. For more information about the group, call or e-mail Debbie Cosby, (540) 364-4910. The group will be discussing the following selections in 2009:

June 29: The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai

July 27: The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O’Farrell

Aug: 31: The Geography of Bliss: One Grump’s Search for the Happiest Places in the World by Eric Weiner

Sept. 28: Wesley the Owl: the Remarkable Love Story of an Owl and His Girl by Stacey O’Brien

Oct. 26: The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein

Nov. 30: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows 

Dec. 14: Holiday celebration; no assigned readings
