The library has a variety of volunteer opportunities at all three of its locations. Volunteers must be 13 or older and are asked to commit to six months of volunteering. Flexible hours are available Monday through Friday. E-mail Lynn Hawkins, or call 349-1820, for more information. Applications are available at all library locations, or you may fill out an online application here.
Volunteers perform tasks such as:
- cleaning material covers and cases
- filing and other clerical tasks
- assisting with special events and projects
Help sell books - The Friends of the Fauquier Library, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the library, needs volunteers to help in its used bookstore the Book Cellar. Book Cellar volunteers must be 18 or older. Call Denise Johnson, (540) 439-1939.
