The Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to the enhancement of the quality of life for all people in Fauquier County. Working in a partnership with the people, the department shall provide the leadership to assure that citizens receive high quality recreational facilities and services, and to assure the preservation of local history.

- Summer Movie Under the Stars!
Mark your calendar for Friday, June 4th, for the 5th Annual Movie Under the Stars FEATURING Madagascar!! Bring your chairs or a blanket. Come enjoy this unique experience! In case of rain, the movie will be shown in the auditorium. Movie begins at dusk. Admission is free.

- Northern Fauquier Community Park Fishing Day
Please come and join us for a day of fishing at the Northern Fauquier Community Park’s stocked lake. Instruction from the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries and local fishing enthusiasts will begin at 11 a.m. And June 4th-6th is Free Fishing Weekend: everyone ages 16 years or older can fish without a permit. Please adhere to all posted park ordinances. Only catch and release fishing is permitted.
