Fauquier County Parks and Recreation is proud to be a member of the Fauquier Alliance for Youth (FAY). FAY supports collaboration and communication between child and youth serving organizations within Fauquier County. FAY’s vision is that Fauquier County will be a community with opportunities for youth to be a part of a positive family environment, experience a meaningful childhood, be constructively engaged and grow into healthy, contributing adults.
Fauquier County, while supportive of organizations serving children and youth, does not have a “go-to” place for organizations to coordinate efforts and maximize effectiveness. FAY”s Strategic plan outlines a coherent vision for families, children and youth in our community that is data driven. Involvement with FAY helps to streamline departmental services and efforts that other youth serving organizations offer to the community. There have already been several successful collaborations between FAY member organizations and there will be more unique opportunities that membership in FAY will provide.
Fauquier County Parks and Recreation is very excited about FAY’s strategic Plan and the County’s involvement with FAY. The Department is pleased to offer support to ensure that the goals for FAY in Fauquier County are met.
