On the morning of Wednesday, April 9, 2003, Bryan Michael Mace was found shot to death in his home and the home set on fire in the 12000 block of Elk Run Road in the Midland area of Fauquier County. Evidence suggests Bryan interrupted the burglary of his home and was subsequently killed. Bryan was 20 years old at the time of his death and worked with his step-father at Rayco Roofing in Manassas, VA.

The Sheriff's Office is actively working this case, however, we are asking for the public’s help. Anyone having information of any kind is urged to call the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division at 540-347-6870.

A reward of $10,000 is being offered. An additional reward is also offered by Bryan’s family.
